Rapid.Space is a global vendor of 4G/5G vRAN and edge computing infrastructure. Rapid.Space uses Amarisoft vRAN technology in its products for public or private networks. Rapid.Space customers include tier-1 telecom operators, national railways, security forces of governments, US hyperscalers, etc. Rapid.Space products follow the idea of SimpleRAN, to create vRAN focusing on cost reduction rather that on "complicated architecture". We thus follow 3GPP standards, use O-RAN whenever it is cost efficient (ex.O-RAN m-plane is great) and use other technologies (ex. CPRI, iCPRI/RoCEv2, PCIe front-haul, SlapOS, fluentd) whenever it brings more cost savings or simplicity than technologies promoted by O-RAN, ETSI or CNF.
Rapid.Space software provides a "permanent" license that does not depend on the features, on the number of UEs, etc. Rapid.Space software is 99% open source and supports multi-vendor hardware.
For core network, we focus mainly on the core network for private networks (by Amarisoft). However, the core network is not our primary focus. We have already integrated with operators' core networks such as CISCO, Huawei, Nokia, etc.
151+ SKUs for radio units
Rapid.Space provides 151+ radio unit SKU reference covering 32 frequencies with power per channel from 1W to 80W, and 2 to 72 layers. Rapid.Space either relies on designs by partners (Prose, NTS, Comleap, Comba, Abside and Broadradio) or on its own designs to cover all needs: D-RAN, C-RAN, "all-in-one", CPRI, eCPRI. Below is a table that can be used to understand all frequencies, powers, and models/brands.

One of the best-selling ORS series, a 2.4kg compact 2x1W 4G/5G base station runs autonomously (RU, BBU, core, PTT, instant messaging and video streaming in a single enclosure), ideal for private converged networks, defense or rescue missions.
Use case:

ORS Duo is 4 x 1 W dual-band, dual-mode (gNb + UE) all-in-one 4G/5G base station designed for advanced applications such as tactical 5G mesh, Industry 4.0 and 5G NSA networks. The flexible design allows it to be configured under different needs:
- SA: Dual bands
- NSA: Dual bands in 4G and 5G
- Carrier Aggregation
- Dual mode: one band serves as base station and one band serves as UE with extra UE license

ORS Max is 2x10W autonomous base station for energy-efficient TDD bands 4G/5G networks, still powered by a single PoE cable.

ORS Brute is 2 x 20 W all-in-one FDD bands base station, designed for cost-efficient deployment of public 4G/5G RAN in low ARPU areas based on the know-how of Broadradio with mass deployments in China rural areas.

a hardware platform for carrier-grade vRAN. ORS products are based on the ORS ONE platform.
The ORS ONE platform includes a choice of CPUs: Rockchip (ARM), Intel (x86) and AMD (x86). It supports three levels of bandwidth (20 MHz, 40 Mhz and 100 Mhz), two levels of power (2 x 1W and 2 x 10W), 25 bands (B1 • B2 • B3 • B4 • B5 • B7 • B8 • B10 • B12 • B13 • B20 • B25 • B26 • B28 • B30 • B38 • B39 • B40 • B41 • B42 • B43 • B48 • B49 • N77 • N78 • N79), time synchronisation (GPS, IEEE 1588v2) and any number of layers or carriers. It can run eNodeB, gNodeB, epc, 5gc, ims and a wide range of edge services deployed as D-RAN, C-RAN or All-in-one (AIO) RAN architecture.

1 ORS Classic + 5 smartphones for plug-and-play 5G in N39 unlicensed band.

EdgePOD
Compact 1U edge-node server with 8-core CPU (Hygon) or 16-core (AMD, NXP) and front-facing connectors for power and LAN. 280 mm depth, ideal for 3C networks (Connected Collaborative Computing) and for rack cabinets used in factories, offices, government, hospitals, etc.
Use case:
- plug-and-play edge computing server for OSS/BSS/NMS on-premise management.
- plug-and-play open source digital workspace collaborated with Netframe.

EdgePOD AI
Accelerate AI workloads with embedded NVIDIA L4 low-power GPU. Use on- premise AI for interactive translation, image generation, text completion or chat without disclosing sensitive information。

EdgePOD BBU
EdgePOD BBU with 4x10 Gbps CPRI, eNb/gNb counter collection and 3GPP KPI calculation integrated into Rapid.Space console, compatible with multi-vendor RRU suppliers: Prose, NTS, Broadradio, Comba, etc. with 151 different radio unit SKUs. EdgePOD BBU/DU/CU runs Amarisoft eNodeB/gNodeB/epc/5gc and SlapOS AI RAN for vRAN automation. It supports both CPRI (Split 8) and eCPRI (Split 8) standards. It is compatible with O-RAN yang models and Netconf. Each EdgePOD can act as a powerful edge server capable of running multiple edge services such as push-to-talk, video streaming, digital workspace, virtual machines, programmable logical controller, databases, EPR, MES, local AI inference, etc. Fully automated end-to-end testing is implemented for each radio unit to prevent regressions.
Use Case:
EdgePOD software without EdgePOD hardware (Classic, BBU, vRAN), quick installation on your own choice of hardware or VM/VPS.
SlapOS
The core business of Rapid.Space is software:
- software BBU (eNB/gNB)
- software core network
- software NMS/OSS/BSS
All physical products introduced above (supplied by RS or RS partner) are integrated with Rapid.Space software stack based on SlapOS technology. This is how Rapid.Space can achieve full plug-and-play operation and automated integration testing in D-RAN, C-RAN and "all-in-one" deployment models. It also unifies edge, cloud, big data and vRAN within a single system.
SlapOS Master automates the management and testing of large fleets of Rapid.Space BBUs and Open Radio Station (ORS) deployed in public or private 4G/5G networks.
The NMS is a critical component in network deployment and operation, providing:
- Alarms and fault management for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Configuration management for eNB and RU, ensuring seamless and automated setup.
- KPI monitoring and analysis to optimize network performance.
- Scalability and streamlined network operations, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.

Rapid.Space strategic accelerator empowers telecommunication operators, governments or global corporations willing to quickly and safely replicate Rapid.Space's infrastructure of vRAN, edge or cloud, and achieve digital independence at competitive cost.
Thanks to the open-source nature of Rapid.Space software and operation process. Rapid.Space will be able to help our customer to manage its vRAN autonomously without being blocked by a single equipment supplier.
Rapid.Space proposes lecture and training sessions to transfer the know-how in 4G/5G vRAN to allow fully autonomous management of customers' own vRAN infrastructure.
Amarisoft 4G/5G vRAN and core technology
Amarisoft is a leading vendor of vRAN for public or private networks. It is also a competitor of Viavi, Rohde & Schwarz, etc. for test and measurement. Amarisoft is the creator of 5G vRAN, a leading vendor of test & measurement for telecom and the only supplier of carrier-grade vRAN with a pure software stack and hardware independent implementation.
